About Us
Baking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I spent countless hours teaching myself to bake, cutting recipes out of old magazines, experimenting in the kitchen, and learning through trial and error. Some of my fondest memories are baking with my grandma, who taught me not just the skills, but the joy that comes from creating something delicious to share with others.
By my teenage years, that early curiosity had grown into something much bigger. I needed extra work, and I found myself helping bakers prepare and sell their cakes at farmers markets across London. I lived two hours away, but I loved it so much that I happily made the commute four days a week. It makes perfect sense when I look back, because long before that I had already been running my own mini business as a child by buying packet cake mixes, baking them, and selling the cakes at local events and shoots. My love of baking and my entrepreneurial spirit have always gone hand in hand.
Now in my thirties, the itch to bake has never faded. Friends and family have asked me for years to bake for them, and after many requests, I finally decided it was time to share my creations with more people.
Emita Bakes is the result of a lifelong passion for baking, rooted in childhood memories, shaped by early business ventures, influenced by real experience in the baking world, and brought to life with genuine love. Everything is freshly baked to order and handmade in small batches using real, high quality ingredients. I also love supporting local farm shops, markets, and community events, and whenever possible I source ingredients from small producers who care about quality as much as I do.
Every brownie, blondie, cake, and baked treat that leaves my kitchen is created with the same warmth and enthusiasm I felt baking with my grandma all those years ago. My hope is that each bite brings a little comfort, nostalgia, and joy to your day.
